Hell yeah, this game is finally getting all the merit and recognition it deserves! Quite possibily the best game released for the PS3 so far! At least in my opinion :P

nice!

At some point, something must have come from nothing...

...nothing can come from nothing...

@Hiko

Damn right :) I was so overjoyed to see that Demon's Souls was granted such an huge recognition, the game really deserves it, and it had some very tough competition this year, which makes it all the better :D

Those are mere peanuts.. Further on you'll have to go on with 160k souls on yourself...imagine the pressure...

and do the same level over and over again to get more souls. Or help ppl. I tell ya, at the beginning of the game I had NOTHING. just a wep and a shield (Barbarian)...I had no souls tp buy herbs and shit..but I noticed that you dont lose souls when you die while being a blue phantom and that u keep the souls u gained with the dude..So I just put my blue stones there and when I had my body I would let myself die then come back to get the souls in soul form...pretty nice tactic.

Blame the lack of active players...I can't invade a game or join a game at my current level...Sucks, really...

@libellule

Oh don't worry about losing a measly 8K souls, when you start carrying over 100K souls, that's when you'll start feeling the pressure xD Just imagine the pain of losing 500K souls :X

Oh have you tried using the Blue Stone on determined areas? You can't use it in Boss areas or in mid level areas, you'll have to search for areas that are most predominantly lit with other players blue signs.

luvtospooge is right : there was perhaps not enought player around

SPOILER level 2-1

whatever, I finally passed the tower knight, sold all my soul hero/soldier and reached a nice 20k soul to upgrade my soul level ;)

then I switched to the undergronud fire level, I succeed to use my blue stone and then a guy invited me to help him.

It was a bit messy and I even succeed to "lose" myself in the level but we finally passed the boss door to discover a big spider

he tanked, I used my costly arrow to help him from behind and we won !

I like the spiked shield that can do good damage but the timing to perform a "true parry" to make a critical hit is quite hard to get right. I usually prefer to use the roll for/backward and the simple shield block

@libellule

That's your best strategy, as Parry becomes rather useless later on, and even on online PVP is useless in most sessions due to lag issues.

I usually don the Purple Flame Shield and just simple block and roll with almost perfect timing to most enemy attacks.

Do you know that you have to beat that Armor Spider again? Since you only defeated it as a Blue Phantom, it's still active in your world.
