If I were you I would just stick to using a bow for ranged attacks and then use grass for healing. Magic will take a lot of investment that probably won't fit your character style.

OH! I totally forgot to tell you all. Probablly from the excitement of playing the game.

So no one at all had any copies of Demon's Souls around me and I was getting really mad that I couldn't find a store that carried it. I looked in different stores since tuesday and could not find it. Well on friday I go to hollywood video and ask if they have it. Turned out they had one copy left. Someone pre-ordered it and never picked it up. So I got the art book and cd without pre-ordering. I guess patience pays off.

as melee player you probably want to get "warding" - but you need 2 magic slots for that (you only have to lvl "will", not "magic") - it's a very good armor buff

yes warding is really good I use it every time I'm around a strong enemy and it saves my life a lot. I'm a mage by the way. I just beat 1-3 and rescued yuri the witch but I can't find her in the nexus. where is she?

she hangs out with the other magic dudes (in a corner) - actually she is very easy to spot, so I wonder why you can't find her

I know its crazy maybe I'm just overlooking her. Ill go back to her tower and see if she is still there maybe I didn't talk to her enough times.

On an side note my 5 favorite games of all time are (in no particular order) street fighter 2 turbo, Castlevania SOTN, mario 3, FF 7. None of those games gave me a sense of accomplishment like demon's souls. I have a feeling by the time I finish it will make it's way into my top five. I'm really enjoying this game.

WTF is "warding"

warding is like a super defense spell. I pretty much takes most physical attacks you get hit by down by 50 percent. It's a life saver and a mush have spell if you have the slots and mp.

you need to give sage freke the tower knights soul and he will make it for you..
