Forums - Gaming - What are your favorite gaming accomplishments?

Everything from any point in your life. Just a point where you thought "awesome, I got that done," or whatever.

I have a bunch, haha.

1. Beating gauntlet: dark legacy. It took 2 summers and an alternating group of friends, but it got done.

2. Beating time splitters 2 (story mode) on hard. One of my favorite games ever, this took quite a bit of practice.

3. Beating the adventures of lolo. A more recent accomplishment. I owned the game as a kid but can't remember ever finishing it. Thanks virtual console!

4. Beating air zonk. I knew one kid who owned a turbo grax 16 as a kid and the only game I can remember him owning was air zonk. Again, thanks virtual console!

5. Beating blaster master. Another game I owned as a kid. This game took 8 (give or take) hours to beat with no save or password feature. Needless to say, it wasn't till college that I made it through on a friend's modded x-box.

6. Beating summoner. A bit of a weird one. Summoner was one of three launch games I picked up for my ps2 (along with midnight club and madden) and I hated it at first. It was nearly a year, perhaps longer before I gave it a real chance. Don't get me wrong, the game had plenty of flaws, but somehow I made it through and had a fairly good time along the way.

7. Beating burnout 2: As good as the series has become, burnout 2 is still a great game. I got stuck with 3 races left to go in the final circuit. I got so annoyed that I just gave up and went a long time without finishing the game. Then, one day in college, I picked up the game and beat the race on my first or second try. Silly stuff.

8. Beating secret of mana: my favorite game of all time, I got stuck for a long time on the tail end of the game. I don't really why I had so much trouble but one day, a few years back, I picked it back up and powered through.

9. (and, for something a little different) Seeing an imported copy of viewtiful joe in action. Man, what a great game. One of the last to truly "wow" me.

Mine has to be beating Lost Odyssey with my eyes closed....I opened when I walked around but I closed them as soon as I got into a battle....It was fun using the ring system like that...

Former something....

One time my gf gave me head while I was playing Mario Kart on my DS. I can't remember if I finished the race I was in but I sure finished something else ;)

^^

That would be even better if you were also driving a real car at the same time.

Purchasing a PS3

At the time of its release it was rather difficult to find and buy one

Mario Kart Wii - 3 Stars, 9999 VR, beating all fast staff, all with the Wii Wheel.

Okay this was back on the original Star Wars Battlefront. I was playing on the temple map on Yavin 4 as the Republic; specifically a jet trooper. I was getting my ass handed to me, and it got down to 40 on 1, myself being the 1. I knew that there was no way I could take them all on directly (damn destroyer droids!), and that I couldn't afford to let them get all the command posts, or I'd lose. So, I went over to the fountain command post, flew up on top of one of the pillars and started killing everyone with my blaster pistol. I won. =)

Another moment from that game was the first time I realized that it is so easy to own Geonosis. I set the difficulty up as high as it goes, chose to be a pilot, and got in an LAAT. Many times using this technique, I've come back from deficits of 170 to 1 or more. All you have to do is be a pilot, so that you can automatically heal the LAAT, and defend the forward command post since that one can't be captured; only destroyed.

In Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, I am so proud of myself for not just completely giving up during that blasted Star Destroyer part. That was so frustrating!

Getting all Aeons and Ultimate weapons in FFX also all my character completed the entire sphere Grid!!

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler
