Anyone think, that if the Wii was in last place again, Nintendo would just stop making consoles and strictly focus on making games?

Hopefully they'll change the controller with the next ps brand console.

For me, I that the PS3 controller is better then the 360's.

It really is a shame to see the former sales king so far down in 3rd place. To go from first with a 120m lead over the other consoles in one generation to some 28+ mil behind is shocking. :\

They got a blu ray of death this generation. Hopefully that'll encourage them to focus on making quality games instead of trying to revolutionize the field with some sort of new disk that isn't really wanted and a price tag that makes one debate buying a ps3 or a month of groceries.

This is all wrong but whatever...
Ps1...Had the advantage of better and cutting edge games with the most support of the entire industry...
Ps2 had had the DVD advantage so that helped domesticate it more since more families opted to buy a ps2 rather than a cheap dvd player and of course the games were practically falling from the sky.....

Besides that; the people (Like myself) who bought an Xbox ended up very happy with online play...so that's most likely why the 360 is the success it is in America..

As for the PS3...No clue....Maybe the price was the problem.......

In Japan....Again I have no idea...Japanese people are unpredictable...What happened to the Dating SIMS that made the Saturn a huge deal in japan?...

And on your Nintendo thing..I have no idea what your talking about...Sure Sony made the console sales seems like an ever growing monster but Nintendo still sold to it's main targeted base...Children and to many others...Trust Me I worked at an electronics store when the Gen was N64/Saturn/ps1..When AAA Nintendo game came in we would have huge Lines..Mainly composed of parents..But none the less Huge line of People looking to buy Star Wars Rouge Squad,Majora's Mask and what ever else was big on the N64..Lines we never saw for PS1 or Saturn tittles....

Its not the PS3's price itself, its mostly the manufacturing costs, once they become controlled, then the PS3 will reduce its price.

Their selling point was the Blue Ray...If you to Electronic Stores their TV's Recomend the PS3 as the best alternative to getting a Sony BluRay player..Note...The Following might cuase illness

Agree with you for the most, but still think Nintendo would have thrown in the the towel if the Wii was a flop.

But Nintendo was still making a profit during the Gamecube and N64 era...

That's what I'm saying!!!! Even more so a proly a bigger profit than sony since Nintendo really made sure their system could be cheaper and and not cuase them losses
