Another Apple fan?

I read the OP and several pages before I got here and it's a pure hate filled rant. I'm pretty sure you neither run your own business or indeed ever will do successfully if you're so perfect you never bend or break the rules.

Really? You really read several pages?

*Sigh*

Who else thinks I'm an Apple fan?

Name me 1 company that doesn't have questionable practices?

Remember the HP internal spying incident where the CEO spied on its board of directors with phone tabs?

There are shades of grey, but companies should be held responsible for their actions especially when the consequences are significant. For example, I would argue that MS's monopoly held back mass adoption of the internet for at least 4 years.

I hope someone already questioned this.

Simply, How would you come to this conclusion?

The Windows OS's supported internet since 95 and possibly earlier.  Microsoft did not have any control over the phone companies (who were the internet providers), nor did they control the hardware needed (modems provided by phone companies/PC OEMs).  Microsoft did not control the distribution of telephone lines or cable lines.

A question mark usually indicates a query not an accusation.  I read some more on your rants on other pages and it appears you're actually a Linux/Unix fan instead.  You still didn't address the fact that every company leverages any advantage they can get to succeeed.

People go on about history being rewritten, it seems some of you haters in here are trying to do the rewriting.  Netscape was crap when it got killed off, they charged for a product that was rubbish in comparison to other browsers being released.

Also alephnull, your comments show a lack of knowledge on why we have the PC compatible just about sums up why you don't understand what Microsoft has done that is so good.  Nice bashing on Bill Gates for his charity work too, really any mildly objective poster on these boards can see through your posts for the hate filled bitter rants they are.

@Nightsurge - Why ask, the answer you get will be from his own made up world.  He's like the business version of the gaming scrub where he thinks everyone should be nice and play to his rules or they're dirty nasty cheaters.
