The release date for Naughty Dog's action-adventure game Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is becoming a little less cloudy.

We knew it'd arrive by late 2009 but now we've got the month, too.

According to Eurogamer Portugal, the PlaystationPortugal website now lists the game as a September 2009 release. The website also confirms that the game will not have any multiplayer. Our Portuguese is a bit rusty so we'll have to put our faith in Google's translating ability.

If it's truly coming out in Portugal in September, it doesn't necessarily mean that we'll get it here in North America at the same time. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, the first game in the series, had a staggered release date across different territories. Still, the North American and European releases for Drake's Fortune were only about half a month apart so this gives us a good idea of when to expect the game to arrive.

Well I really hope that this is true.  If so I will be playing this in september!

Makes sense, considering everything else Sony is bringing to the table this holiday season. 

Let me check if this is true. I´m portuguese and i´m going to read this carefully in portuguese oficial playstation website...

Yeah, there earlier the better. Especially with COD coming soon.

I really like the look of this game.  It is a surefire winner for certain!
