Forums - Gaming - Gamestop Manager won't sell Games to kids with bad grades? wtf?!

It's not the place of anyone but the parents or the kid in question to determine whether or not he should be allowed to buy games. I understand the reasoning behind it, but where does it end? You can't watch this movie because you didn't do well in Math, go study more and we'll let you in. You can't enjoy our amusement park, because you failed your science test, go study more. It's ridiculous and it infringes on the rights of consumers.

Yeah because everything is a slippery slope.

"Now get on the scale before you buy that candy, pastry, dessert.  Also be sure to bring proof of weight to your local fastfood drive through.  We cannot have folks that aren't at the proper body weight purchasing these you know; it's not good for them.  "

I kinda wish they'd make a law like this. Them kids are gettin fat.

thank goodness i get straight AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Was that sarcasm?   The lack of grammar and punction leads me to hope so.

I'd be Ok with a mom and pop shop doing this but not a chain.  Still I prefer it being up to the parents to do this.  I wouldn't purchase a game for my 10 year old if he came home with bad grades anyway.  No point in letting a clerk decide that.

Free game for all A's is a pretty good incentive for a kid.  He'll go broke if their are a lot of smart kids nearby though.

Lol course it was but i do get Straight A's

I dont care about Punctuations outside of school, no point, get rather sick of it in AP English

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.
