Forums - Gaming - PS360 -> PSP ports the new publisher strategy?

Moneyhatting going on here by Sony and about time too it must be said. It would cost no where close to moneyhat a PSP game compared to a PS3 game, the software coming could also move systems which will be good news.

It seems in stead of Sony cutting the price of the PS3 they are spending more money on the PSP. That is an extremely clever route Sony has taken because this will drive console sales, software sales and allow the PS3 to remain on "life support." When Sony are able to cut the price of the PS3 the PSP will still have all this new support. Both consoles will be able to hold there own weight.

Good move, bravado. :P

Okay so here we go:

EA

  • Army of Two: The 40th Day (PS3, 360, PSP)
  • Rock Band: Unplugged (PSP)
  • Need for Speed: Shift (PS3, 360, PC, PSP)
  • Dantes Inferno (PS3, 360, PSP)

UBISOFT

  • Assassins Creed 2 (PS3, 360, PSP)

Thats all I know at the moment, of course there are first party PSP versions coming our for the PSP with LittleBigPlanet and Motorstorm Artic Edge, but there is supposedly a whole slew of games waiting to be announced at this years E3.

It surprising that there isn't any Wii or DS versions in there for any of these games, but most are games you would associate with the Playstation or Xbox anyway and maybe the Wii and DS are just too general mainstream for these games, as they probably wouldn't sell anyway.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

davygee, EA has Dante's Inferno (PS3, 360, PSP) as well.

@davygee:

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is coming for the Wii, even with Wii Motion Plus support.

I personally would like any PSP game which is also available on the PS3 to be a different game with some PSP-PS3 connectivity features. If it is a franchise which I enjoy, it would add to the experience and probably entice me to purchase both.

I'm really glad to hear that developer support is with the PSP!

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 will be superior on wii thanks to WM+ - just watch WM+ presentation made by the developer it's fantastic, so no.

wii and ds will get Lego Rock Band

wii and ds are getting Need for Speed:Nitro which is exclusive to nintendo platforms.
