Forums - Gaming - Was there ever a time when you almost stopped gaming?

For me it was in 2002. I had just bought a Gamecube at the end of 2001. The whole year was horrible for me for gaming. I think i only bought 3 games that whole year. I personally blame the Gamecube for not having anything worth playing that year. Thank God i ended up getting a PS2 midway throught that year.

What about you guys?

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Not really... Well kind of, I game in my free time, so if I am busy for a long period of time then of course I will game less then.... but it's not exactly stopping.

I stopped gaming just a little bit after the Dreamcast died. The last games I remember were playing Onimusha and the MGS 2 demo that came with Zone of the Enders on the PS2. My brother gave me his Gamecube but I never really used it until Wind Waker came out. I tried playing it in large chunks and then dropped it for months on end. Basically it was Resident Evil 4 and X-Men Legends that got me back into gaming in early 2005. After that I got Tales of Symphonia and Killer 7, and then started backtracking through the GC library. Then Shadow of the Colossus came out and I decided I needed a PS2. I've been back ever since that time.

Your thread has no credibility due to your ridiculous claim that the GCN didn't have a good library of games.

OT:

Never.

At the very end of last gen, when I saw what the Xbox 360 was offering, I said to myself ,"this is it." The 360's games didn't look much better than Gamecube/Xbox games. If it weren't for the upcoming Wii.......

Good thing the PS3 came along and saved gaming.
