Heavy Rain is going to be awesome it is going to blow Alan Wake out of the water quality wise and be one of the first games that is almost as mature in theme as a David Lynch film.

a david lynch movie?

maybe we should wait till it comes out to say such a wildly massive overstatement

because i guarantee this is not gonna be blue velvet

youre crazy thinking you'll get david lynch level in a videogame

david lynch movie?! what a joke - so far it looks like another summer thriller flick for teenagers with Shia Labouf on the cover like Disturbia no matter how you try to cover it.

you wouldn't find a David Lynch type of movie if it would hit you in the face, if you think it will have Lynch kind of story(not to mention that it would be probably most bizzare and boring game ever gameplaywise if it have one).

oh and by the way - i hate patches as well. i hate hd twins for useless DLC that should be in the game from the start, patches and short games cause those things are making their way already to the wii.

Quick Time Events.

Careful, Heavy Rain looks like it may do it well.

No, it looks like they're doing them differently; it's still a game full of nothing but QTE's. It looks like it is this generations Dragon's Lair.

carefull ps3 fanboys are everywhere with over 9000 penises waiting for such small girls like you ;)

*gives Flame Shield

Uhm, you are braver than I, Twesterm.
Good luck to you.

Psh, people know I've been suspicious of Heavy Rain since day one.  So I'll have CGI-Quality mad at me for a few days, I'll get over it and so will he.

It looks more like a tech demo with some arbitrary controls slapped on as a semi joke to me (Heavy Rain) and I don't believe for one second that this game will be worth much at all, unfortunately. I could be wrong, but I also reserve the right to dislike the product even if reviews are fair or even good, as I have so many times in here.

What's funny is that the only thing we've seen yet from Heavy Rain were tech demos, and not at all the real game.

I won't comment about the controls and the QTE, just watch the 25 mins long video from a french show, you'll understand how wrong you are.

FPS games that don't have 4 player splitscreen. Anything less then that is pretty much useless and dooms the game at my lans. Utter waste of time.

yeah local co-op/multiplayer is the thing you were buying a console for - it's sad that now it is rarely used in games.

I hate when patches are announced before a game is released. They know the game isn't ready but they will release it anyways and just give it a patch. Why not take an extra week or two (or however long it takes) to fix the problem? Is it that much easier to release a patch?

yes, because you can start printing the game while you fix problems.  If it bothers you so much, why not just wait a few weeks after a game's release to buy it?  Shouldn't be a problem since you like waiting longer.

the problem is when you don't have console connected to internet. it should be rule that every game from the start shouldn't have any glitches that need patches to begin with.

Games always were released with glitches, now with patches, we are lucky that they can be fixed.

I'll never understand why people don't like when problems in games are fixed...

it's good thing but now it's like developer won't even try to check the game before releasing it cause they always can wait for rants and complains from gamers - they won't even try. assasins creed, skate, fear on ps3 would be just unacceptable before and now they sell million and developer don't give a damn(and often they know about problems yet won't stop game from releasing to fix them).

Well, I'm not sure it's worse than before... But if we're looking for faults it could be because devs don't give a damn (you're right about assassin's creed, should have never been released like that), or because games are much more complicated and much bigger than before so harder to test...

Before, the devs had the rants and complains but couldn't do a thing about it, now, they can do something, so they release a patch, and then there are rants because the game was patched because unfinished...

yeah, I much prefer patches to broken games that can't be fixed. They are essential for online games, too.
