As a company, Apple are now Microsoft circa 1998- smug, arrogant, litigious and utterly abhorrent. Ironically, Microsoft seem to be moving in the opposite direction and seem more open and less prone to their old embrace, extend and extinguish methodology.
I can see why people get taken in by Apple's marketing and hype, but the old 'it's us vs them and we're the good guys' spin is pure bullshit these days. When it comes down to it, both Microsoft and Apple are rapacious mega-corps pure and simple- it's a shame that they seem to be the choices for the vast majority as both are as bad as each other.
