Wow cant wait for The Real driving simulator 5

You'll be waiting a while, Forza 5 isn't due out for years.

But GT5 is looking very fun.  Few less cars than last time as I understand it but as another poster said, who wants to play with cars slower than our own?  The novelty would wear off pretty quick.

Awesome number of tracks too, even if there are some redo's.

L O L.

Whats Forza?

It was a joke mate.  GT has much better sales than Forza, and is arguably more fun.  But it's pretty commonly acknowledged that Forza is the better simulator.

I know I know . I always thought it was the other way round in the sense that many thought that Forza was more fun but deemed  Gran Turismo to be a more realistic simulator.

That's an opinion. And The Real driving Simulator is GTs Slogan, so........ And pretty common knowledge? Links?

You're right.  It is an opinion.  Like just about everything else on these boards.  I know you as a poster.  Nothing I say, nothing I offer, no matter how blatant, will convince you to believe anything other than what you wish too.

For this site specifically, there was a massive (200+ posts) thread a few months ago comparing the two and general consensus was that Forza is the superior simulator, all other things aside.

I will throw in the fact that Forza 2's physics simulator refreshed 360 times a second.

GT5 may change all this, but as it stands...

@Starcraft. Yes I remember that thread. But I wouldn't say that means it's pretty common knowledge. Yes It may be a popular opinion on vgchartz, (Maybe a poll would see the opinion of vgchartz users?) . I wouldn't say Its pretty common knowledge that GT is the better simulator either (Because opinion is different from knowledge ). But ( I know sales are not a justifiable means of judging quality, but quality does play a part in sales ) If GT5p ( A glorified demo) can sell 3 Million and counting, and the full Forza 2 sold 4 Million . Well, I really think that says a lot to people seeing the quality of the respective titles. P.S Yes I know they are both bundled.

You were doing ok up until now.

Both GT and Forza are excellent games.  But the main reason GT sells a hell of a lot more has to do with the fact that it is in it's fifth (demo iteration), and is coming off the back of two 100 million+ selling consoles.

Forza is coming off the back of one iteration and a 25 million selling console.

I don´t believe, it´s too much, don´t make sense... way so much, no game need all this...

Indeed, when I played GT4... I wasn't intersted in doing a Ford Fiesta race in the mountain....

If I play a Racing Videogames, it is to drive sportcars I will never be able to afford...no ones that are slower than my real car .

i play racing game because i dont want to race with my sports car..... im sure you can afford a fast sports car because... we'll because i did. its easy to find an old model with low miles for cheap. i bought a '94 3000gt(222hp) with 70k miles for less than 4 grand. with a couple hundred dollars you can easily get it to 250hp. wait till the clutch wears out and for only a little more than you are spending you can put in a performance clutch and flywheel. already you will have a pretty fun car to drive. after those mods though the next steps become increasingly expensive. like 1500 just for parts for a new exhaust. that would only give you like 15hp to. hp to dollar ratio isnt worth it to me unless you want to race. you wont be the fastest car on the road but youll beat alot of punk kids who think they are cool in their base model stangs. and itll be a fun drive. BTW - my top speed is 110mph on streets snd didnt wanna go any faster.

As long as you brought it up, I love to play GT, it has inspired me to love fast cars in real life as well.

I used to have a 3000gt, but then the engine exploded... and everyone would always ask about the VR4 which I never had. Now I drive a MazdaSpeed3. It is pushing 300hp after a turbo back exhaust and cold ait intake mods.

My top speed is 143mph on the streets. But despite all of this, I promise you I am not a douchebag.

Point is, GT will always offer something real life doesn't- even if you have the monney... Nobody is gonna be racing a GTR at 180 in this lifetime.

At least, not unless you play GT5 when it comes out.

Dude I can't wait to get my MS3 this fall.

MSI GT725-074 owner..... TRUE BEAST.. COD4 is a different game on PC.

You ever drive a car fast, Gt is more realistic with their weight transfer the braking cornering.

Gt is simply better in every way, that's what happens when you give car nuts a huge budget leave them alone and let them do their thing.
