My vote goes to the ramones though I really like the clash too.
I never listened to the older punk, and I'm always told it destroys newer punk. My favorite will always be New Found Glory as they were some of the earliest new punk.

I'm not big into the genre, but I do like the Stooges, Anti-Flag and At the Drive-In a lot. I'm not sure if At the Drive-In is considered punk music definitely though.
Eh, If you'd asked me about 2 years ago, I'd say Green Day (mostly older like Dookie, but AmId was pretty good, but in a different way), or Blink-182, but now I'm less into mainstream... Although I still love them both very much...
But now... I think I like Zebrahead best for punk... but they're Punk-Alt... Ah well I'll have to wait 'till 21st-Century-Breakdown (GD Album) comes out to truly know...
ATDI counts as punk. Post-hardcore.
Pg 99 gets my vote :D

Zebrahead is rapcore there are really cool though.

Funny thing I had this album for two weeks and played it all the time. I am then admiring the album cover and to my complete amazement see the words "45 RPM".
LMAO we had listened to it at least 30 times at 33 RPM!
Dead Kennedys FTW!
