I love these quotes ignoring the only console that's kicking their asses...

If there were 6 or 7 consoles and X360 were in 6th with PS3 in 7th, they ould say this the same way...

the Wii doesnt cater to the same audience. Hes talking about HD consoles only.

Congrats Microsoft.

Too bad I'm too busy enjoying games to focus on Sales. Not like you can play sales anyway.

OK???? Your comparing yourself to a company?? Damage Control??

Too bad companies care more about sales and profit.

If the 360 has "won" the US it's mostly in the bible belt and other Rural areas. In the big city it's split.

Did you pull this out of the SDF site?

I don't see where he says that they 'won'. Looks to me like he said that they did what they needed to do in the US and are now concentrating on Europe. Seems like a level headed response.

Same. Compared to Sony pr the MS pr sound like geniuses.

Jeez, what is it with the damage control? First it was

"sony will outsell microsoft when the 720 hits and it uses blu-ray"

Now it's "well nobody cares about sales/marketshare anyway"

Fixed.

What about:

"The PS3 will last for ten years"

or

"Wait for the price cut on the company that has lost the most money this gen"

or

"Wait for MS to suddenly stop producing 360s like the Xbox even though they were forced too and the Xbox had crappy sales."

Lets take a massive turnaround as a scenario... so starting tomorrow:

The 360 average weekly sales are cut in HALF to say 48k

And the PS3 average weekly sales DOUBLE to say 120k

Then it will still take 121 weeks to catch the 360.... thats August 2011

So August 2011... mark it in your diary.

Oh... but wait... neither of the changes I mention seem in any way remotely likely... scrub that.

What about TEH Pricecut??

You´re on a roll, little guy.

Where did I say no one cares about sales?

I said you can't play sales.

They do matter to devs and pubs very much, but as a consumer, the focus of having a gaming console should be...  Gaming.  I've had a fun time playing games on all three of the current generation systems, and I will continue to do so, and not get into fanboy wars over sales.  Halo 3, KZ2, Brawl, LBP, Gears, etc. are too much fun to continually worry about sales of games and consoles.  They're nice to look at, but you can't play them.

You've changed a whole lot. Much respect for this post.

OT, M$ "won" US over Sony a long time ago and has probably won overall since US>>>>>>>JP, marketwise but like the above says: "you can't play sales". We sometimes over-fuss about these things. Wii owners in the US have been complaining of lack of X and Y games recently. It looks like the sales of the console can't be played.
