besides that the ending wasn't generic at all. How come you liked it naznatips?? I Thought the ending didn't fit Soul Eater at all. The whole series was about teamwork, but no Soul gets down in 1 blow sacrificing himself (something he wouldn't have to do because Maka somehow was strong enough the withstand the same blow). Then she smacks him with an courage fist on her own which was incredibly lame. I mean didn't Shinigami have courage when fighting him?? What about Kid and Blackstar while they were defending soul and Maka?? Then after she did it everybody suddenly was fine. All of it was just so incredibly cheesy I couldn't stand it.

The blow was more psychological to Asura than it actually being "power of courage". If Kid, Blackstar, or Shinigami affected him in the same way psychologically I'm sure they could beat him too. Instead they just tried physical attacks. Asura hiself actually did both physical and psychological attacks, yet nobody thought to attack him psycologically until Maka, because they all thought he was too insane to be affected. Makes sense to me. I think the best part of the episode though was when Maka inherited weapon abilities from her dad.
