Brashear got suspended today, after his hit yesterday on Betts. 5 games for the hit (and an additional 1 game for some pushing during the warm-up). I personally didn't think it was that bad of a hit. To me it seemed like Betts dumped the puck in, turned around and then got smoked. Maybe he deserved a 1 game suspension, since it was borderline late, but I think they wanted to "send a message" to the rest of the teams in the playoffs that these kinds of things won't be tolerated.

However, as long as they have a double standard, this sort of message gets lost. Like when Cammalleri hit Havlat in the head, and didn't get suspended, but Carcillo did, for the exact same thing. Colin Campbell's reasoning was that Cammalleri wasn't a bully, so that's why he didn't get suspended. This shows that they're not suspending the act, but the name on the back of the jersey, which doesn't do anything to stop the act from happening.

Anyways, here's the hit......what do you guys think of it?

What a dumb move by Brashear. Seriously, there was no point in doing that other than he's probably a stupid prick. He already dumped the puck, there was no way Brashear could have stopped it. He could have just went on the bench like he's suppose to because he's terrible and not get suspended for 5 games.

I guess 5 games is way too much, 1 game suspension is enough for something like that. But if they really did suspend him to "send a message" that's idiotic. They're just ruining Hockey in my opinion.

and the Sharks are now out of the playoffs....losing to the Ducks 4-1.

This has left numerous scars which will never heal. I am at a loss for words, i just can't function. FUCK MY LIFE

Go and sleep it off.........things will look up tomorrow (or at least, it won't suck as much ass as it does now).

Although i am still stunned. Shocked. Numb. Disappointed that a season, a season that had so much promise, has been ripped away in a mere six games.
