What does everyone think of Malkin's non-suspension?

The NHL Rule 47.22 states: "A player who is deemed to be the instigator of an altercation in the final five minutes or at any time in overtime shall be suspended for one game"

Last Night Colin Campbell (head of discipline) deemed that Malkin would not be suspended

why would he suspend him? the league is a joke and filled with double standards. if malkin was suspended mario would start crying, so of course he wont be suspended.

I agree the league is filled with double standards in regards to rulings. The league also won't want to suspend one of it's star players like Malkin (or Crosby) during the Cup Final. The league seems to have a fascination with the Crosby & Malkin duo

He should be suspended. NHL suspensions have been inconsistent for years, I'm not holding out any hopes that it'll change any time soon, especially when Colin Campbell remains the head honcho.

He gave an interview on CBC a couple games into the playoffs. He was commenting on why Cammaleri wasn't suspended for the same infraction Carcillo was. He said something about Carcillo being a bully, which is why he was suspended, and Cammaleri wasn't. That was a real eye opening experience for me.

He should be suspended, but the games are getting very high ratings and with Malkin gone the chances of the Pens winning one go way down. Am I mad? Yes, but oh well, Wings will still win! Also since the song isn't on this page:
