I want Dragon Age but I'm cautious of it's quality because Bioware's last 3 RPGs were disappointing (Kotor, Jade Empire, Mass Effect)

I lol'ed, do you honestly believe that?

I'm more excited for dragon age but thats only because I've already played the witcher. I am however looking forward to seeing if CDprojeckt has improved the game with the new engine. Some of the chapter transitions in the witcher made it feel like a NWN module(thanks to the modified Aroura engine no doubt). It was a wonderful game despite its flaws.

It wasn't that bad after patches and with good computer :) Still game was gorgeous considering they started with NVN tech (I've heard that in the last stage there were around 3-4% of orginal Aurora code left) but required some serious hardware to run well.

Anyway the have completly new engine for console version.

It looks like it'll be fun playing as a mage in DA. Warriors gameplay, on the other hand, looks boring.

The Witcher I played when it came out so I am not interested in its console port.

I lol'ed even harder.

Those three are probably the Best WRPG's I have ever played.

OT: I Cant wait for both since I love Bioware and The Witcher just looks bloody cool. Both are first day buys However, Dragon Age needs to re-work its battle system so its more appropriate for consoles. Or are they going to do it KOTOR style?

Black Women Are The Most Beautiful Women On The Planet.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

These games look real good to me I was just wondering if anybody here was looking forward to them.

There doesn't seem to be any hype around them. ohh and both are multiplatform.

Dragon Age is one of the most anticipated PC games this year and The Witcher wasn't even that hyped before it was released on the PC.  Yes, I am looking forward to both of them.

Baldur's Gate II has my vote for greatest RPG of all time along with Planescape and FFVI. So yeah, I'm pretty excited about Dragon Age. The Witcher also looked/sounded like a rare gem when it was released for the PC, though I never tried it because I figured my PC wouldn't do it justice. Glad they're spending so much time on porting it.

I'm a little worried about console controls for Dragon Age. Hopefully that's something Bioware will put a lot of thought into, and maybe give us a few options on (mouse support as a backup?)

I've been looking forward to Dragon Age for years now. It's Bioware's first true homegrown RPG IP. I hope they don't screw it up...
