R2 is a good game but for me, some segments of the single player was dull eg. the canyon level i fucking hated it, yet others were amazing like orik and chicago. so it was a mixed bag, and also online they changed it to much from original. i didnt like how you have to churn to many bullets into an opponent to register a kill. but i agree on kz2 campain, its amoungst the best ive played, its so action packed and varied. even more so than gears 2 which im playing now.

I thought I was the only one. I had a feeling it'd be lame when I first played it - you first drop into an ugly lookin canyon, and you already know you're about to enter some space station thing (forgot what it was). I knew the visuals were gonna suck. R2 has one of the most boring art styles I've ever seen in an FPS. The only thing that can get anymore generic is probably a low-budget military shooter based in the middle east.
I still find all of R2 boring though - the shooting feels so weak. Massive autoaim and no recoil. Making a basic rifle and some random laser thing the 2 most common guns in the game just made it even worse for me. I finally sold the damn game yesterday.
Anyways, I'm not excited about the Cruiser map - kinda reminds me of some of R2's generic spacy parts. The Train though.....looks awesmoe.
