call of duty 4: modern warfare sold 7.25millions on the xbox360 alone compared to 9.42 millions and cod:waw is at 5.28 mills so you can see the franchise is selling well but will it be enough to beat halo 3 first week?

Not sure, but there is Halo ODST to compare the two directly if one wanted to.

No it can't sell more than Halo because Microsoft spent Millions of dollars adversting it but still failed to beat the Wii in sales.

So if there is a Wii version, 360 owners will buy this game instead of Halo :S

It possibly could have been, but as Squil pointed out, with Halo OSDT coming out, and probably for a cheaper $49.99, it's going to be number seller for the season, if not for the entire year. I think Halo ODST tops Halo 3 and hits 10 million.

Nope simply because COD is spreadf accorss multiple platforms, sure many have multiple consoles but as an exclusive it would do 10 million.

Correct me if am wrong but i heard ODST wasn't a full game more like a halo 3 with new maps for the single player and online and a new protagonist, i dought it will have the sells of halo 3 if halo 4 is not far from it release

In terms of buzz, I thought COD4 completely overshadowed Halo 3 in Xmas 07, though naturally didn't outsell it.

Again, MW2 won't beat Halo 3's opening week, but it has a good chance of beating ODST in opening & LTD. Guess it depends on how Microsoft market ODST. If they treat it like GTA DLC, then I think MW2 will come out on top. If they treat it like Halo 3, then it could go the other way.

Halo is xbox, xbox is halo...

Its the only game that has a chance to outell Halo 3 on the 360. I say it can, if its anything like the first one.
