I think this could be a good idea and i dont see why any country would be against it. It would also be a great way to globalize the world economy. Does anyone know why politicians wouldnt adopt this?

My prediction: NATAL WILL NOT help 360 sales. Maybe a 50-100k boost week 1, then a 30-70 k boost week 2, and back to the norm again after 3-5 weeks.

It'd be nearly impossible to do.

Right now, currency is a gauge of a country's wealth and economic well being. What if the world's richest country (the U.S.) was using the same currency as the world's poorest country (whichever country it may be)?

No, a single currency is a bad idea. Allowing currency markets to fluctuate is a good thing.

The EU is a bit different.  They are so close together and there is so much traffic between them that the benefits outweigh the costs.  It would be like if the U.S. and Canada created an essentially open border and decided to merge currencies.  That woulnd't necessarily be as bad.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Having one currency would push globalization to an extreme level, much more than it is now, and would probably plunge the poorer countries deeper in debt and poverty because of the negative attributes of globalization.
