Forums - General - What happened to the Rap Genre?

biggie and 2pac died
eazy e died
death row records colapsed
no rappers rap about real issues anymore like racism, tennage pregnancy, police corruption etcetra which rappers like tupac did
most rappers are fake now and claim there gangsters but dont have police records

southern rappers like t-pain, flo rida soulja boy and lil wayne use
auto tune and synthesisers in the beats and have loads of RnB artists in their songs it has transformed into pop music

Here ya go, Rap hating assholes. Actually listen to this, apply some critical thinking to the lyrics (I know, it's hard to have to think about what music is saying), then tell me it's a stupid genre.

And by the way, I probably have more diverse music tastes then most people on VGchartz; I'm not a raphead. Music is my number one hobby.

28, 13, 37. That's how many seconds I could stand each video before having to turn it off. It sounds horrible, like every single rap song.

I'll listen to Rubang's later

So you're, what, a 17 year old who listens exclusively to classic rock? Real broad musical palette you have there. I know a lot of people who blindly hate rap, and then as they get older and wiser and start listening to music beyond the radio and their dad's old CD collection and branch out into many different genres admit that rap can produce music that is as good as any other genre.

People who are as blindly biased as you about anything literally make me feel sad about the world.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Rap/Hip-Hop will never die. Listen to these songs from The Game
