Sweet overpriced DLC Badman!

The few people who own VC pretty much all love the game, so they're likely to spend quite some money on it. Good for Sega to earn an extra buck.

Greg Zeschuk: We have a very strong philosophy — it’s got to be valuable. This is one of the most important things that we believe: anything we give to our consumers, like to sell to them, whether it’s smaller or bigger, if you’re selling something to someone it’s got to be good and it’s got to be a certain value for the money they’re paying for it.

You have to remember that video game consumers are some of the smartest, most connected people on the planet. You can’t trick them with anything, so don’t even try.

I'd say that pricing is big mistake on Sega part

Was going to post this, glad to see you guys beat me to it!

As far as US pricing, all three can be picked up at $4.99 each ($15 total.) This is kind of a neat balance; instead of Hard mode EX being cheaper and Selvaria being more expensive (as they were in Japan), all three will be the same price.

We've also got some cool contests set to begin soon... more news to come. :)

$5 for a harder difficulty? Even for the token Valkyria Chronicles fan here,  find that tough to spend that.

Do ya'll really think a harder difficulty is the same worth as a brand new campaign?

It's not just $ for difficulty, it's $5 for 9 redesigned maps, with new objectives, no Edleweiss, sniper rifle which can pierce a tank armor, and a hellish difficulty (lancers as precise as snipers, mortar showers, etc).

As for Selvaria's DLC it's 4 maps Ghirlandaio battles and two more maps where Selvaria will either be in awakening mode (lance) or with her Ruhm. You'll also be able to use the Ruhm with one of your shocktrooper during the skirmishes.

In the Eddy pack there's just one map where you're greatly overpowered, but the main purpose of this DLC seems to be the comical aspect of the side story and the six characters.
