I think some are too violent, if you don't like violent games then don't play them, simple as that.

Those kids running around in Africa with machine guns don't have the luxury of murder simulators, they have to stick with the real deal.

I think there might be too much violence in videogames. I don't mean that from a moral standpoint either. It just sometimes gets so tiring not having enough alternatives to games with violent conflict in them. After nearly thirty years is that still almost all a game maker can create? I just find myself gravitating more towards the Laytons, Tetrises, Brain Ages, MLB games, etc. lately because there is just an overabundance of good software that is merely fighting/killing. I like those games, but I would like some high end alternatives to go with them and those seem to be extremely lacking.

That not the case here. We have a discussion about violent game and the impact of it. I try to think in term of society, not just myself. You see, that is one of the big problem today : peoples seems to always care about themself and not the other one... Is there is too much violence in video game, too much violence in movie or on tv, that become part of our culture and that can be a huge problem. I'm don't say that everybody gonna became violent but everybody can be a victim by another crazy SOB one day because of that...

no i dont think there is there is much more that can be done with the violence
