Forums - Sony - Ok, Sony has finally made Home interesting

With the addition of the online adventure game, Xi, Home has evolved into something that is quite fun. I just spent an hour messing around in the hub of Xi and helping nubs solve the beginning part as it is kind oif annoying and there is a very annoying bug where even if you complete the task it doesnt allow access to the full game making it so you have to unregister, re-enter the hub, and redo the quest.

Past that it is really quite fun.

i like home but i'm waiting for EA space

I didn't experience any sign in bugs personally. I've experienced hundreds (no exaggeration; I started logging errors) of connectivity issues with Home in general since December, but no bugs related to Xi.

One strange quirk is that Xi monitors progress across all PSN accounts on a given console. Meaning only one user can do any given task; all other accounts will automatically register the task as "completed."

It's easily the most involved area/activity in Home, particularly with the constant time released updates and tasks. More interesting is the game's crossover into the real world with billboards in real life (co-ordinates hidden within Xi) providing clues and information needed to complete tasks.

The downside is that all solutions to tasks are readily available on the net, making it a very easy experience for the lazy to coast through. Almost as easy as just asking people for answers.

With any luck, there will be future exploration and investigation adventures like Xi in Home.

Interesting indeed. Looks like I finally have a reason to update Home lol.

Annoying unclear beginning?

People running around calling you a nub for not getting the unclear beginning?

Bugs that make you re-register?

I know I'm not the biggest Home cheerleader but you're really not selling Xi very well...

I didn't even know this had been updated.
