IMO, because I'm a big Nintendo fan:

Zelda The Wind Waker

This game split the series in two and took away the identity that the series once had. Doesn't have Zelda feeling at all, the sailing, island-based overworld and the cartoony graphics doesn't sound Zelda-ish at all. Similar to what the 60's Batman TV show did to the Batman franchise, a serious and gritty story turned into campy. Should have been an independent franchise or Nintendo should drop the Zelda name from it, the same way Activision did with Modern Warfare 2. Because of Wind Waker, now when a new Zelda is announced you have to wait if is realistic or cartoony.
