haha, its cool. I just have been following your posts in this thread and you seem hell bent on making this thread and sonys statements into something other than what they are for a reason i cant determine.

You want to argue quality of games a gaming forums the place to do it. In a thread that has nothing to do with cross company comparisons on quality this isnt the place.

just read the thread. A simple factual numbers statement has disintegrated into a bunch of people coming in to insult gaming studios that have made, what i consider and even sales would consider, great games for no other reason than its sony.

Quantity does not equal quality.

And quality franchises in first-party development leads to sales.

Are you sure Shadow of the Colossus was a sony first party title? I remember a small team of guys receiving awards for that game. Last I recall they were an indie studio too.

Seems like it, but it's not surprising. For Nintendo, their strength rests in their 1st Party Software, so when something comes along that could potentially threaten that, some become defensive. Then they make comments like "quality over quantity." Yes Nintendo has Mario/Paper/Kart/Smash Bros/Zelda/Metroid/Fire Emblem/Animal Crossing/Monolith Soft, but are people going to tell me games like GT/GoW/R&C/Team Ico/J&D/KZ2/HSG/MLB:The Show/Motorstorm don't stack up? ( I realize I probably missed some series on both sides)

What I really hate is when they bring sales into it, as if that is relevant to quality.

Well it was Team ICO, which is apart of SCE now, I don't know if they were when SotC was made. (it was Published by Sony) I decided to list a game rather then just put "Whatever Team ICO makes, because we know it is going to be awesome"

Gotcha, yeah I know it was published by Sony, but I wasnt sure if they were actually absorbed into Sony at that time.

I just turned to this tread after seeing the title and thought it was curious to see if in the first page it would turn in to a nintendo versus sony tread and was i right at that only on the second post it had already started lol

What i dont get is the need that the nintendo fanboys have at almost every tread on this site to claim nintendo is the greatest at this nintendo is the best at that , the sony guy stated a FACT something not very often seen in PR statements and for that he is called arrogant and a nintendo basher? lol grow up people for once he said something thats true

The sales claim ( nintendo sells more ) is not an issue for this conversation good games are not measured in sales some do really well but other great games fall flat on there faces (Valkyria cronicles comes to mind ) that doesn't mean there bad games

This tread was supposed to be few pages long because what was said was not that controversial but the internets always finds a way to make something allot more entertaining than it really his thaks to all for a good read
