Hey guys, I have a two questions:

my best friend is selling me , his old damaged ps3 in 100$,..now,My questions is..

1:if I buy,is the expensive repair cost? .

2:it cost over 200?

status:

*blu ray drive bad..

*no hard dish..

*scratches on the casing..

i think it cost around $150 to have sony repair it (dont quote me on it) and it needs a HDD inside it in order to send it back to Sony.

Your best bet is call Sony and ask them how much it will cost.

ok but ,only sony can repair it,no other service company?..

^^ well if you think you can replace the blu ray drive then maybe you can do it your self...check on youtube how to change bluray drive guides if you want.

I doubt you can go to another service company. Though im sure Sony probably outsource it to some third party company as that seems the norm with most companies now days.

Anyway if its still under warranty just give Sony a call and discuss your options.

I'm very bad for electronics...

i heard that it costs $150 to do it. does it have backwardz compattiblity.
