Almost 150 Achievements per Xbox LIVE member.
As part of a larger article which looks at the idea of rewarding players with interactive incentives, Gamasutra spoke with Aaron Greenberg, director of product management for Microsoft's Xbox division, about the success of Xbox LIVE Achievements.
"We never anticipated this reaction... where there are achievement fan sites and people playing games that they would never play [for the achievement points]," said Greenberg.
Greenberg also noted that Achievements are one of the reasons Xbox 360 gamers buy more games than gamers with other systems - an attach rate of eight games per system. According to the Gamasutra article 2.5 billion Achievements have been awarded to Xbox LIVE members, equating to almost 150 Achievements per member.
