According to a recent Capcom press release, the "Versus" add-on for Resident Evil 5 will be available on Xbox Live and PSN this week. Available starting April 7th on Xbox Live, the DLC pack will cost $4.99 (400) and will add two new online modes: Slayers and Survivors. In Slayers, players will team up to go against Majinji, while in Survivors, players will have to run-stop-gun against each other. Both modes will support 1v1 and 2v2 play.

The "Versus" add-on has been largely criticized for its close proximity to the game's original release, with some believing these online modes should have been included on the disc. Capcom has defended the pricing, calling the DLC "above and beyond the initial scope" of RE5.

Thats good for people who were waiting for it i think ill pass though

Sweet!!!!!! I cant wait for this to be released!!!!!!! Just in time when i pretty much got all the Trophies and unlocking almost everything.

For $5 its worth it. Rather put my money towards something as new game play then just like new costumes.

I love Res Evil 5, but I still think its a joke. Gamers shouldn't have to pay extra for online competition when it should of been released with the game

Versus Mode!? WTF does that have to do with RE!???

im surprised tha microsoft didn't try to get it as a exclusive dlc.

well im kind of glad they did not put it on the disc. if they had they might have put online achievements. which i can not get because i have dial up

i think you should get the trophies for normal and easy if u beat it on veteran, because i got the easy trophy when i first beat it on normal.  I just need to beat it in professional mode (you get it after you beat veteran..apparently all enemies have like instant or near death attacks), and i need to upgrade all my weapons (just need to upgrade 6 more weapons).  And i just need to purchase all those infinite ammo for the remaining guns when i max upgrade them.

Ill try to get all the trophies for the new DLC as well, im too hooked on RE5 right now heheh =P

thanks just wondering though if you play the game using the infinite ammo on ur weapons does it affect weather or not u get the trophy for beating it on Pro?

Good i'll get this if sony sorts out the billing information on my account and thousands of other peoples accounts.Theres a whole bunch of people on the EU Playstation forums having trouble adding a credit card to there account and sony keeps saying theres no problem its our bank details and cards thats the problem even though the same details work everywhere else lol.Can you believe that

iv nearly got all the trophys all i need is 3 hit combo(can someone tell me how to do it) and stab a creature in the heart (i know its a licker)
professional is a bitch and dont recommend doing it on ur own i think its impossible to do shevas AI + 1 hit KO = a very frustrated person
