Since he didn't buy them games. He had no reason to actually feel attached to his non-purchases.
If you're going to play 2000 DS games in a span of 1 day, you're not going to have enough time to fall in love with any of them.

I have a stack of PSP games and no PSP as of right now (God of War, MGS Portable Ops, Ops Plus, MG Acid 2, Killzone).
There are a bunch of others I will pick up eventually, but it does seem a bit pointless to keep collecting games without a player.
Just when I was ready to play some of those games, word of PSP2 and price drop started coming up.
Sometimes I think these stories are circulated just to keep players waiting indefinitely.
But a $150 PSP3000 would be a much better deal than a $170 DSi (especially if you already have a DS).

2000? Is there even that many ds games? I am sorry but your favourite console does not offer anything for me. No need to be butthurt about it.
Only listen to people who have played the games they list. Not idiots who makes a big ass list of games they dont have or haven't played.
I think the DS kicks PSP ass in every way. Anyways the PSP finally has a decent gaming list God of War being a game Im sad I missed when I had my PSP.
You said if it has RPGs. DS has WAY more JRPG but I dont think either have any western RPG. Games I enjoyed on PSP were Bleach:HTS series, Jeanne D' Arc, and Tales of Radiant Mythology (but Tales got ruined) Other than that nothing.
As for the most popular stuff like Patapon or LoccoRocco or whatever its called they weren't my kind of games but I can see the appeal. The Final Fantasy games were crap and yes all you people who would bash me I have played them.
So I dunno dude. I think DS is better and should you get a PSP its all up to you its just not MY system and I would not recommend it.
Oh and DSi is much better deal for $20 extra dollars then a $150 PSP. Side by side you would see.

I know that DS has a lot of jrpg:s, sadly the ones I tried were not the kind of games I was looking for. They were too "japanese" for my taste. :D

Why is that?

PSP has an external camera you can buy while DSi has one built in.
DSiware. That is a huge thing over PSP. Sure PSP has a download service but its soo limited. PS1 downloads were suppose to come but hardly any ever came. DSiware is gonna come and its all gonna be original I believe some really interesting shit is gonna come.
The DSi browser is better imo. The music player is better imo minus the minor AAC audio gripe.
If your into homebrew the SD slot/internal memory/camera is gonna bring some awesome things to the homebrew scene
The new matte finish is a lot smoother and feels great. Feels more durablethen PSP.
I say get the PSP. just look at what is coming:

and it has a huge backlog, specially of RPG's.
