This just sux, with what we need to deal with in the US.  This is so freaking cheap and so fast, but looking at the cost breakdown, it makes sense.  It just cost too darn much to build the infrastructure in the US over Japan.  I guess Japan is more densely populated, which greatly aids in houses passed, but still...this is ridiculous as compared to the US.

Digital Download would easily be a reality, if we had speed like this in the US.

Boy, the US cable companies relaly are stinkers, ain't they. "Premium service" my behind. It's time to adapt to the new market, boys! The market that wants to watch TV on the computer sometimes.

That service in Japan sounds pretty snazzy - but that's not a quote on monthly prices. It's $60 a month at that speed in Japan. It's just about $20 to upgrade the connections for a house.

the u.s. really knows how to exploit anything the private sector wants. deep pockets mean anything goes.
