Forums - Gaming - What happened to Race Pro for the 360?

I think I saw a link on the "spotlight" section fot he marketplace... then it vanished...

Evan Wells (Uncharted 2): I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3.

It shouldn't be suprising that a game with brutal driving physics and fairly mediocre visuals isn't a big seller. It's a great sim, but it's also a fairly pure sim. That means you mess up and you're done. Lots of players don't want that. I think Forza is as sim-like as a game can get while retaining the ability to just jump in and enjoy the game.

Actually, it's not a great sim. Fans of hardcore sims on the PC have been sorely disappointed by Race Pro.

Need For Speed Shift is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios, a group of folks that left Simbin and were not involved with Race Pro.
