I just found out that the latest Tim Burton / Johnny Depp movie is supposed to be an adaptation of Dark Shadows and it is supposed to start filming in London in Mid 2009 with Johnny Depp in the role of Barnabas Collins.

Fantastic news. When I was digging for info on Dark Shadows I read that Johnny Depp had dreams of playing Barnabas Collins. Actual dreams, not aspirations. This could be Buton's biggest movie for years, what with vampires being in vogue at the moment(which I begrudgingly admit is mostly down to Toilet's influence). I would love Toilet's audience to turn up for this one, just to see the shocked faces and to hear the screaming!

 The music in the original Dark Shadows is perfect. There seems to be a lot of minisodes(10-12 minute edited episodes) that some fan has put together so I might watch and see how far I get.

Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

Patiently waiting for:  Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2

@OP

I hated salem's lot so, so much.

I love, however, let the right one in.

 What decade did you  watch it?  And why did you hate it?  I watched it when the original Mini Series was first on tv back in the seventies and it was pretty scary and hardcore for a five year old to watch.  Granted, it might have lost some of its quality over the years as it has aged.

 Salem's Lot scared the crap out of me and all my friends too. It's one of the few Stephen King's that actually worked for TV. It has aged but still has a lot of atmosphere.

Anyone else familiar with the mostly forgotten Vampire show Ultraviolet? Everything about this show screams quality, from the titles to the storylines and it had pretty good cast too. Only ran for 6 episodes though.

       I don't know much about Ultraviolet except I think it was an honorable mention on that list of the top 70 vampire films.

A new Vampire movie just popped up on the radar.

Thirst just opened in South Korea. Directed by Chan-Wook-Park(Old Boy/Lady Vengence),it loks very promising. I'm a major fan of his work so i'll be there day one, which will probably be towards the end of the year..
