Forums - Microsoft - 360 wireless headset question

I have been thinking about getting the wireless headset.  If anything it looks slick, but other than that I care that it is functional.  Is it worth the almost $60 price tag?

What headphones are you talking about? The Turtle Beach ones? If so, they're worth the money.

I have these and they're great.

They're great, except for the fact they seem to just die for no real reason. =P

My and my cousin both have them, and mines died once, his twice, and they have 90 day warranties which they always outlive. Same problem all three times, just stops charging. Change wires, USB ports, nothing seems to fix it. I've read that it's a common problem too. If it weren't for that I'd recommend them.

it works just fine, it has better audio quality then the wired ones, Battery life isn't extra ordinary long. Still there much better options out there. Hehe I was just searching for one and Twestern posted exactly what I wanted.

I heard the official Xbox 360 Wireless headset isn't really that good. It disconnects randomly and it also has a shorter battery life compared to the Jabra headset for the PS3. I would just stick with the wired one or try and find alternatives!

hmm... sleepwaking or twesterm is the Turtle Beach full audio or just voice? Seems odd if it is just voice with the full over ear foam. I don't know that is just too bulky, and I can see my kids getting a hold of it and tearing that up pretty quick. The microsoft wireless looks pretty durable.

It's full 5.1 surround sound.  Mine work great but I guess some people have issues with them.  Mine work fine, that's all I care about.  :-p
