      Let's get really flippant here for awhile so we don't have to answer the question of why Japanese people are suddenly going to be less inclined to buy the latest games in two of their all time favorite game series.

Hey BT, you want to make bets of the following conditions:

1. Out of the three games FFXXII, FFXIII Versus, GT5, no more tha one of them will be released in 2009 (calender year) which mean either none of them will be out by then or only one of them.

2. For FFXIII, FFXIII Versus, and GT5, they will not all be released before next summer which means at least one of them will be released after next summer.

I'll bet $500 VGChartz dollars on each.

I have no idea what impact either game will have but the likelyhood of those games being released in 2009 as many have already stated is slim.

 2.  I provided sales numbers for past games in the series on past consoles.  In almost any sociology course they teach you that you can get a good idea of what will happen in the future by looking at what has happened in the past.

And 2 out of 4 Gran Turismo games have launched in late November or in December in Japan including Gran Turismo 2 (11-30-1999) and Gran Turismo 4 (12-28-2005), so it would make sense to assume that Gran Turismo 5 will be released 5 years after Gran Turismo 4 and possibly on the 10th anniversary of Gran Turismo 2 (11-30-2009), and if it's not quite done according to Polyphony Digitals standards by then, Sony will still probably force it out the door, so they don't miss these important dates with a plan to patch it later.

All in All this is shaping up to be the biggest holiday season for the Playstation line of consoles worldwide since 2001 when Grand Theft Auto 4, Final Fantasy X, Metal Gear Solid 2, Baldur's Gate:  Dark Alliance, Devil May Cry, and Jak and Daxter:  The Precursor Legacy were all released within a few weeks of each other.

Please clarify if you are betting for or against. For Ex.

1. You are betting on either none of them or only one of them will be out by end of 2009 OR you are betting more than one of them will be released by the end of 2009. Cause I'm betting on the former.

2. You are betting on all three of them will be released before summer 2010 or at least one of them will be released after 2010. I'm betting on the later.
