DS combined Lite and DS have sold over 100 million portables in total. April 2 2009, Nintendo launch the Nintendo DSi. Two cameras inbuilt into the DSi, DS gets a redesign, DSi games are on the way and it is compatible with all DS/Lite games.

Now what the hell is Sony going to do now with PSP, to counter this genius move by Nintendo?

then a software store.. which also PSP got in a update acces to the psn store.

they will probably redesign (maybe a slider) too make it slimmer, nicer looking and improve the battery.

Sadly the DSi can't play GBA cartridges. Apart from that the added features are really fun.

@ Jo21: No it also got double the processing power, SD card support, on board memory and larger, brighter screens, and it's now slimmer too.

I think the features that the console has, the fact you can play with the music and photos that you take is very DS centric and that's the genius part of it. Nintendo will do very well with the DSi as DSi enhanced and DSi only games come out and really take advantage of the hardware.

Sony need a refresh and they need to focus on the interactivity aspect of the console, just like what Nintendo has done - play with your music, play with your photos. Not just tact on features..

I love my DS, but the DSi is a "meh"

Two cameras and an AAC player is lame. I'd like to see if the better CPU leads to better looking games first.
