Forums - Sony - Bots finally back in KZ2, but Guerilla must be on drugs...

Skirmish mode is KZ2's offline bot mode, here's the only 3 options you can change: map, bot limit, and bot difficulty.

Now if you decide to create an online game with bots, besides all the stuff above, you can also adjust the game type, time/score limit within that gametype, which badges/guns can be used, friendly fire, and whenever players appear on the radar.

It seems awkward that if you wanna start a decent bot match, you have to create an online game then password it so human players can't join. The irony is that most people with an internet connection wouldn't bother playing with bots. My PS3's wireless connection isn't all that stable and it'd seem kinda silly to get booted off an online bot-only match if it does end up crapping out. You also can't pause the game like you can in Skirmish mode (obviously, since it's an online match).

On the bright side, I might actually finish a bot match for once - since Skirmish mode doesn't even let you change the damn gametype, you're doomed to play the standard "warzone" template, which lasts about 20 minutes. It'd suck to own this game and have no internet connection.

This game has a ridiculous amount of potential and it dissapoints me that GG let most of it go to waste. It could've got close to reaching Perfect Dark's status of awesome bot matches. I'm imagining what KZ2 would be like if you could tweak each individual bot's difficulty, badges, weapons, along with being able to give them orders.

Too bad the starter class can't be disabled - as you limit more classes, the bots resort to using it. LMG-only matches are pretty fun, even though bots will use the starter pistol before they use the ISA LMG...

One more thing: Rockets only and a large map......just do it. And don't forget to enable friendly fire.
