It is in MICROSOFT'S best interest to try to get into Japan and be competitive. It is also in interest of Sony and Nintendo, so that they stay on their toes.  By the way, using BTFeather's logic, then the PS3 shouldn't get Bioshock 2, because the original didn't do well on the PS3.

 

      I predict that the in the not too distant future the PS3 will be performing against the Wii much as the PSP performs against the DS in Japan.  However, the PS3 will perform in a similar fashion as the PSP does to the DS in Japan not only in Japan; instead, the PS3 will perform this well against the Wii in all regions.

 Because in order to outline why the 360 will never be a success in Japan.  I have to discuss the biggest reason why it won't and that is the PS3 and exclusivity of FFXIII, FF Versus XIII, and other upcoming PS3 games that are destined to have tremendous success in Japan like GT5 while the 360 has had and has no games announced that have done anything more than mediocre in Japan.

Now you want to talk about the United States. Which kinda proves exactly why MS should pull out of Japan. I always thought it was extremly funny when you tried to say 360 was the JRPG king.

      Every 360 jrpg was a failure.  The only one that came anywhere close to being a success was Lost Odyssey.  Star Ocean 4 has barely sold more copies worldwide than White Knight Chronicles did in Japan and Tales of Vesperia did so poorly that it was discontinued in the US then ported to the PS3 (and it will have all new bells and whistles added on PS3).

Xbox 360 has a good foothold in Japan and has doubled it's userbase from last generation, whilst at the same time Sony's PS3 hasn't exactly taken off like the PS2.

Yea. MS should focus on US, UK and other parts of Europe As Japanese are too ignorant to buy products from other countries. X360 doesn't really need Japanese Market.
