Sony Pictures announced the following games for 2009 for the Iphone

Ghostbusters is a new game planned on the hit comedy movie with Bill Murray and Dan Ackroyd; it's being developed to tie in to a new Ghostbusters game coming out in June. New York City is facing an invasion of ghosts once again, and you have to save the day by catching them.

Q*Bert is based on the popular coin-op arcade game character first seen in the 1980s. You have to help Q*Bert hop to the top across 50 maps, with bright graphics, new maps and eye-catching animations. It's also coming to the Android phone.

Top Agent is based on James Bond: 007. It's coming in August and it features multi-player play that lets you create your own secret agent who fights against henchmen, famous villains and other players' agents.

Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy are based on the television quiz shows. Both of them have been created specifically for the iPhone, according to SPT.

Shouldn't Sony pictures be putting their games on the PSP??

Actually, shouldn't sony pictures be making, well, TV shows and movies??

Money Walks and Bullshit Talks.

I don't think this part of Sony is tied too close to the game division. Plus extra cash in pocket never hurts as I think Sony supports Apple way more than MS. Although SOE does make games for PC which runs on Windows software (hence MS) and Windows runs on Sony PCs. Sony saw their PSP really wasn't the Ipod killer it was supposed to be and some casual games may do better on Ipod Touch.

Don't quote me too much on the casual thing it just came to mind :P

@ axum - All good points, but I would have expected all the Sony divisions would be encouraged to help each other out

@ Nanaki - Casual games such as Ghostbusters and James Bond? EDIT: Sorry :P

Thats extra Money for Sony also they know as of the moment Apple poses no threat to their gaming division their main concern in handheld is the DC.

Its all good. Cusual gets thrown around so much on the sight that it comes out my mouth sometimes not thinking.

I should've said Movie adaptions and puzzle games are better suited for the iPhone because of iTunes selling movies+game makes sense and puzzle games are best for touchscreens. Had the PSP already had a touchscreen puzzle games would have sold way better (Not that they don't do too bad).

This is happening for the same reason Sony Movies are still released on DVD and Sony movies get cross platform game tie ins. It's just good business. This isn't a slight against the PSP at all.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
