That's actually pretty good. Would make me interested if I cared for more than one of those games, and I was an Aussie with a decent income.
I agree a price drop will increase sales much more than any bundle with added features ever will. The PS3 simply costs too much for any but the most hardcore of gamers, and most of them are playing the Wii or 360 already.

Its likely that at somepoint i will want a PS3. But this probably isnt until late 2008. And the next thing on my gaming shopping list is a Wii. Basically i cant see myself paying more than $AU500 for a PS3, which means the price has to drop by half. This is inhibited by Sony's own manufacturing techniques, and the reality that they cannot price mainstream blu-ray manufacturors out of the market without the risk of losing their support in the HD format war.

That deal is a big step up from the pathetic package they've had up till now. It's still not enough to get me to buy a PS3 (MGS4 is what I want), but it's certainly a step in the right direction. It's about time we got a packaged deal that can match the sort of deals they have going on in the US.
