Super Mario Land or Prince of Persia for DOS. Both were in mid 90's.

I am an abstract sort of creature, who dislikes any sort of restraint. If you try to pigeonhole me, I'll break the box, and come back for more. I don't have any particular ambitions, I just drift, but I am adept at keeping life going along.

The first games I ever played were Space Invaders and Centipede on the 2600.

I was going to say a quarter-eating pong clone in a howling alley around 1975.

It was a tabletop model. A dark black glass circular tabletop on a faux wooden base.

The display was shown inside the table -- you would look down as you played. One paddle was green. The other was red. The court was yellow.

But then I remembered playing one of those sea scope shooting games in a pizza parlor in 1973 or 1974. It has a display that looked like a black and white TV set.

So I guess that would be it.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

If you were swinging on vines you were probably playing Jungle Hunt or Pitfaill
