Mustang says classy.

Corvette says wealthy.

3000GT says sporty.

G35 says "Don't buy me."

Pretty harsh because the G35 is probably the best overall vehicle on the list. Several magazines ranked it over the Z... It's supposed to be an extremely competent car overall.

I almost got a Corvette, went with a 911 though.

Chick magnet will be the Corvette, performance as well. I would just worry about maintenance.

I think most non/north americans are not familiar with the car.

G35 is very good car and in high demand around here... people put ads on craigslist asking for one, saying they will pay 15k for ia 2004 model no questions asked as long as it works. Its not as flashy as the other cars I want to get, but its on my list of cars-to-get for a reason.

I think if you're looking for a solid car with a robust featurelist convenience-wise, you're probably looking at the wrong lineup.  Personally, I wouldn't want to drive any of them full-time. I'll give you an example of what I mean.

My uncle is a car collector.  He buys himself a new toy sports/retro car every year or every other year.  He'll drive it a bit, have his fun with it, go to shows, and the like.  Those aren't the vehicles that get him back and forth to the store or his business though.  They're the cars he drives for fun.

Although, out of all the ones I've seen him with... I think my personal favorite was a Trans Am.  Wish I could remember the year on that one.

I agree.

Well the msutang and G35 could be driven every day no problem I think but the otehr 2...not so much. I plan to buy a 2004 pontiac sunfire or a chrysler sebring...automatic.  something that I can drive to work every day and abuse in traffic.

Corvette's are pieces of crap. Search around for a used Audi S4, any of those will be awesome.

Audi S4s and BMW M3s are great but I can't pull off owning those cars... I look nothing like the guy below. :)

Import taxes are a no go then =/

Yeah, new evos just came out here last year and they are over 40000 bucks. even the Rally art version is over 30K used. Evos and impreza's for some reason retain insane value second hand.

I wouldn't want to get any other Evo but Evo X anyways...the looks on those earlier lancers is quite pedestrian. New one got it right, even if it did rip off Volvos front end :)

If you are talking about the outside, I do think they ruined it. This whole family wagon look was part of the evo charm - it powerfuly reflects on the origins of the machine and made it unique in the sense it was one of the few truly sport cars that wasn't flashy. Now that Subaru went apeshit with the last impreza revamp as well there are no cars left in production reflecting the heritage of the golden era of the WRC.

But yeah, the new looks suck. On the evo and the impreza.

I know that the GTO was as good as american cars got few years ago but there are 2 problems with me getting it.

1. Never sold in canada. I did a search and there are 3 for sale in my province right now and they are all 24000 dollars. Improting from states is a headache cause they have to change a whole bunch of stuff on that car...

2. Looks. It looks like a G6 with ram air scoops. Many have argued that Pontiac dropped the ball big time with that cars styling and I fully agree.

I love the GTO, it has a nice smooth, clean look, not too flashy.

The interior is just awesome in that car, you just feel like you belong there, it's so comfortable, and its fairly dark (atleast the one I test drove was) and it just makes you feel apart of the car.

I love the styling, I love everything about the car, if I could change anything I would add more horsepower, surely they could have gotten more out of that 6.0L beast.

Well i test drove the 3000gt and I am mildly impressed. It wasnt the VR4 but the SL however it still had fairly decent go and very impressive handling.

I can only imagine how good the VR4 is with 100 more horsepower and all wheel drive. The interior is where this car shines too. Very sportscar-ish...

I really can't make the call between that and the Vette yet...both are awesome.

Looks like this will be a long process of test driving the cars I want...then making up my mind...and then looking for the best deal.
