There are so many failsafes and codes that need to be entered into a nuclear bomb to make it react properly (they just don't explode upon impact, you know, they're actually quite harmless unless armed) that you can rest assured one will not go off accidentally.
After all, we have lived in a nuclear age for over 60 years and have yet to see one bomb go off accidentally (even during the 50s when the Russians were... let's say... "careless" with some of their atomic technology).
It's worrisome that these were put onto a plane and went unnoticed for a few hours. Nothing more, nothing less. That plane could have crashed into a damned oil refinery and nothing would have happened, other than the carnage let loose from a plane crashing into an oil refinery, that is.
