9. No optical out. Not a major complaint, but I really wish there were.

To get optical out on the 360 you need to purchase the "Xbox 360 HDMI AV cable"

Which comes with an hdmi cable and it also comes with another attachment(breakout box) which has a red/white audio connection(e.g. rca), it also has a digital optical out connector(toslink).

The combo(hdmi cable + audio breakout box) also comes with the 360 Elite if you purchased that. That was one reason I picked up my Elite, as I have the digital optical out on the 360 connected to my 5.1 surround sound receiver.

"Product Description
The Xbox 360 HDMI Cable provides gamers with separate audio and video connections via the included Audio Adapter. The Audio Adapter allows HDMI video to be routed to the HDTV with the audio routed SEPERATLY to the home speaker system. Without the Audio Adapter the video and audio signals are both carried by the HDMI cable. This means users without an HDMI receiver (new/costly) must listen to their Xbox 360 game and movie audio via their TV speakers. * One wire for both digital audio and video * Experience high definition movies and games at up to 1080p resolution * Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound output * Optical/RCA Audio Adapter included for non-HDMI supported stereo systems * 2 meter (6.5 feet) shielded cable"

Thanks! I didn't know that existed. As I said though, it wasn't a major concern of mine but it's certainly nice to know that option is available (although pretty expensive).

Oh dear god... well it'll be buried under a half dozen page and will have already been said but...

1.Xbox live-(WtF my friend has to PAY for XBL when he is over a few times a month and we are on the same fking console, really MS?)

XBOX Live is a paid subsciption per user. If everybody could make infinite duplicate accounts off one Live account then why would anyone pay for the service? He can make his own profile and play multiplayer games on your Xbox360 but if he wants to do what Gold members can do he has to pay for the service he's using.

If you buy OnStar for a car and only use it 3 times the whole time you own the car, you still have to pay for it.

If you get cable, you can't take it cable box over to your friend's house and get cable over there. If you only watch TV twice a week you still pa full price for using the service.

2.Batteries -Really? Honestly Batteries?

I buy a box of 48 Maxell batteries for $7.97 at Wal-Mart once a year. This covers my TV remotes, Wii remotes, and Xbox360 controllers.  got a play and charge set for chistmas this year but the batteries are actually cheaper.

3.Rumbling DVD drive.

The Xbox360 was a poor design. but the rumbling drive is a fixable problem if you aren't afraid of opening up your consle and damping the casing. My PC came with a rumbling drive too. My Wii occasionally makes a loud humming noise when the drive is spinning. It's all the same issue.

4.Everything cost MS points, just about everything at least, can i get a (Good)free track for GH WT? No dam..

Demos are free, videos are free, there is a free Arcade game, you can win alot of things in online contests. Any Avatar items have been free. You can even DL all this free stuff even if you only have a silver account.

5.No reward for buying GOLD,Cmon MS give us 500 MS points for every 3 months we buy of XBL,plz?

The reward for Gold is that you get to play online on a well organised and well thought out service for a reasonable price. If you want free MS points, enter contests and try to win them. Why does everyone always want something for nothing?

When you get cable/sattelite/etc do you get free movies or free channels just because you are using thier service. Other than introductory offers to get you away from competing companies, the answer is pretty much no.

6.Wired stix suck! The cord somehow got bent and well if you move it anyway it comes unpluged, not really unpluged but disconnected cause the wires are messed up.

Take it back to the store and get a new one.

7.Hype? MS didnt play L4D at all,an exclusive to the Xbox 360 console but they dont say crap about it,show it off its an AAA game,or any other big games besides Halo and Gears, why MS why?

Left 4 Dead... who made Left 4 Dead? Why does Microsoft have to advertise a game they didn't make. Does Nintendo make ads for Capcom games? Does Sony make ads for Square/Enix games? I think Valve is the one responsible for this, not Microsoft.

8.Where is my Slim 360?

It's sitting right next to your slim XBOX, slim PS3, slim Wii, and slim Dreamcast. Why the hell would you want Microsoft to try to make the X360 smaller. They finally have the system running so that it doesn't freeze up and overheat. If they take that and try to squish it all down into something smaller there are going to be issues again. Here's my question? If you already own an Xbox360, then why do you care if a slim version comes out? Are you so pressed for space that you need the extra 2" of countertop space your surrent system occupies? Do you live in a closet? Perhaps you live in the top drawer of someone's dresser?

9.Where is my Blue Ray addon?

It's at Wal-Mart, you can get it for $129. If you own a PC they are even cheaper and some people have even discovered the ability to hook a PC up to a living room TV! Isn't technology great?

10.Can i have downloadable Xbox 360 enhanced games, you know games that have improved graphics over the DVD version due to more space?

Crysis fit on a DVD9. Fallout 3 didn't even fill the DVD IIRC it was a 6.3GB install on my Xbox360. DVD size isn't really a big issue. Right now what's holding graphics back is the fact that the Xbox360 and PS3 are ancient technology compared to current PCs.

My honest opinions what are yours?

My only gripes I have with the Xbox360 to date are that they use plastic parts inside the analog stick mechanisms which break after extended use. I also don't like the hard drive pricing. Inside the HDD casing is a simple laptop hard drive. They are greatly overpriced. Finally, why the hell don't I have internet explorer on my Microsoft built piece of hardware?

You people are like little kids,Boo Hoo he made a list about his FAV CONSOLE,Lets ignore what he said and reverse it onto the PS3/Wii.

If your not gonna say what you dislike about the Xbox 360 then leave this thread,we dont need you telling me what to do since i know all of it already,i know my friends can play guest accounts,i know demos are free i KNOW IT,Im just saying what i hate about the 360.

And people defending 7.99$ permonth of XBL with no reward is just stupid, ill take PSN even with some lag over paying for a slightly better GAMING service.

I pay less than £35.00 per year for 13 months for a Gold account. Shop around and pay yearly, it's a lot cheaper.
