I don't know if in USA too, with the weak $, it is possible, but in Europe PS3 is already 50€ off unofficially by most large resellers (so an official cut, implying a wholesale price cut, would allow smaller resellers to apply it too).

US price cut seems most obvious candidate, or some major new services for US only initially.

Yes, most unlikely just in USA, $400 sales tax excluded is still a lot less than 400€ VAT included, in EU and Japan, with strong € and ¥, Sony has more room for a cut. Or they could cut 50€ in EU and $30 in USA, this would bring tax excluded prices to be almost the same (Yankees would keep a ~10€ advantage over Europeans anyway, so they shouldn't complain)

Hmm, forgot for a moment myself Sony doesn't equal PS3. A PS2 price cut could be very interesting, particularly if they bring it right down. PSP news would also be interesting. There's beeen so many persistant rumours of yet another 'reimagining' of the machine it's hard not to believe something is going on there, plus Sony have been talking up PSP support for a while now.
