@Spartan, yeah that update was supposed to be there a couple of days ago to join with the Resistance 2 one. Does Sony make big announcements for updates if they are already known to exist?

a ps2 price cut is rather pointless isn't it? With 140m units sold i'm pretty sure that the console's legs are dead tired by now

JK So would you pick one up along with Starcraft if that were to happen or are you still going the used route?

Used route for me. I will save even more money on PS3 console. The second hand PS3 console purchased from game stores comes with a 12 month warranty. Savings would mean more money to be spent on buying games. It is no good paying for a new console, if you can not afford to buy games.

I think I remember you saying you were going to pick up used so that Sony would not get another digit on their sold counter :) It is good that you can get a one year warranty with a used console. I was unaware of that. Good point about the cost though. Maybe you could charm them into throwing in a couple of games!
