The fact that they didn't show anything last year does not mean that they are going to do this. However, Iwata told that this E3 is going to be BIG. I also remember Reggie saying that they had a BIG holiday season title for E3 2008.....and then it was Animal Crossing. I really hope they come up with something bg this year, last two has been quite disappointing. That's what I expect from each company: MICROSOFT · Splinter Cell Conviction. · Alan Wake gameplay and a release date for the holiday season. · Some secret software from Rare, maybe Killer Instinct? · Mass Effect 2 · Some Halo news. SONY · Hideo Kojimo new project. · New ICO team project. · God of War III and Gran Turismo 5 for 2010. · Uncharted 2 and Rachet and Clank for this holidays. · Heavy Rain gameplay and a release date. NINTENDO · New Zelda Wii for 2010. · Pikmin 3 for this holidays. · Mario team game. · Retro Studios game. · Factor 5 project. MULTIPLATFORM · Bioshock 2. · Lost Plannet 2 and Dead Rising 2. · Final Fantasy XIII. · Modern Warfare 2 · Dead Space 2. |
You forgot about M.A.G. and EyePet. They will probably show new Singstar games. They might show Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles, Quantum Theory, and save WarDevil, The Agency and Insomniac's North Carolina Project for the event that happens before TGS (it use to be Leipzig but it's going to be moved this year). I don't know when they plan on showing the game that BBC reporter saw.
For MS, you forgot about Forza 3, Huxley, and All Points Bulletin. They will probably save Champions Online for the other event I previously mentioned. Expect MS to really play to the fanboys' emotion by getting another 3rd party title to be multiplatform, to try to make up for the lack of titles (compared to Sony) announced.
BTW, I think Sony will win. Of course, I'm not swayed by a game going from exclusive to multiplat.
Microsoft for sure.
They have waited almost a year without announcing anything exclusive for the 360. That leads me to believe they are hording the titles. Microsoft don't normally announce things until they are near completion and with the holidays coming i would expect E3 to be the time. I really do think with the recent financial results MS are far better suited to buy games due to having billlions in profit. I would not be surprised to see those rumours of Blizzard and MS doing a deal for Blizzard games and Blizzard making the first games for the next gen consoles. Would not surprise me one bit to see Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 go to console exclusivity with 360.
