My differentiation between genres may not suit your style perfectly; so fine. I will not be including Playstation 2 because it's last gen, so too bad. Do the work yourself if it's that critical. Now that all of that is out of the way, here's the point. It's hard to say which system is always the best, because sales do not necessarily entail quality, and gems can pop up on even the most awful of consoles. I'm gonna go genre by genre and show the fall lineup. You guys then discuss who rules in that area. If the release dates get updated by new games added or pushed into next fall, we can reconvene and decide again what that means for each console. I have taken a few liberties by not adding any games specifically for children, such as Spongebob and Ben 10, and will not include any games that have to do with hunting because I figure no one wants to argue over that anyways. If I'm offending any hunting game fans, too bad. Spend your money more wisely in the future. So without further ado...
Puzzle Quest wasn't on the release dates for 360 and PS3 but I could have sworn i've read that it'll be arriving over their networks to DL. Wii has a great trump card with Fire Emblem, but Sony has the supremely inventive Eye of Judgement game. I'm not entirely sure if Eye of Judgement is an RPG per se, but it's seems to be the closest I can group it in with any genre. Microsoft however, pulled together a roster that is unfuckwitable, which is funny because this should be their weak side. They have a JRPG, a PC style action RPG, two MMO expansions, and Mass Effect, which speaks volumes on it's own. I love Harvest Moon and Fire Emblem, but the 360 is where to go for RPGs this fall. |
Folklore added.

360s looking good, how much is the Oblivion GOTY going to be and i didn't think it was being released til October but the sooner the better. I can't wait for Fire Emblem its going to be my next Wii game

I 100% agree. I wish I still owned a 360.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
I love me some farming so Harvest Moon here I come!!!
Generation 8 Predictions so far.....(as of 9/2013)
Console that will sell most: Nintendo Wii U
Who will sell more consoles between Microsoft/SONY: SONY
Yeah Xbox is a clear winner this years fall for RPG's. Expect things to change drastically for next year though. Japan loves RPG's it would be very surprising if the Wii didn't receive a shitload of new RPG's next year. And to a lesser extend the PS3 IMHO.
Dunno about Mass Effect but I'm looking forward to Eternal Sonata.

I love Jrpg's, but Eternal Sonata is the only one on that 360 list that I want.
I can't wait for Fire Emblem! :D
Btw :
PS2 : Soul Nomad (from the creators of Disgaea)
Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.
