I'm not so sure that title deserves an exclamation point.

Why not? I'm really excited about this game; at first I thought it was a cheap spin-off but It's shaping up really well.

I'm excited too. I might actually get my wife to play co-op with me instead of watching me play RE4 over and over again.

EDIT: I just watched the trailer; what's the deal with the "A new chapter unfolds 2003" at the end?

@routsoun
I'm just kidding around. I'm not much interested in RE:UC but if you are then exclamate however you like.

@rasone77
How do you get you're wife to watch you play through RE4? I could barely get my gf to sit through 10 min of RE4 while the RE:UC trailers I showed her were stopped almost immediately.

There are a pile of rail shooters coming out for the Wii. IGN even suggested that the rail shooter mode for Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 rivaled RE:UC, and it comes with a more conventional FPS campaign and promising multiplayer.

I'm going to bide my time and see what the reviews say. Rail shooter isn't a genre I can see myself playing enough to warrant buying more than one. I'll admit, that trailer looked pretty fun, though.

My girlfriend actually plays RE4 since i got it for the Wii.  She just really started getting into videogames when i got her an SNES, and plays a lot more genres then your typical "core" or "hardcore" gamer i'd guess.  Really she's up for nearly any kind of game, though her tastes are often influenced by mine since she doesn't like spending money.

As such, this game and any game with a co-op go high on my list.  We almost went through "Gladius" twice which is funny since it's co-op mode was the equivelent of not forcing you to swap controllers in a Strategy RPG game.

So... i'd suggest getting your girlfriend into it by buying her an older more simple system like the SNES or NES, get a few simpler games to refine the "basic" gamer skills, and if she catches on to it she'll be interested in the newer stuff.  If you want to get her into RPGs in particular.  Start with Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.  Pretty much everyone mocks it but it's the perfect begginers RPG since you don't have to deal with a lot of management issues you do even on your simplest JRPGs.

My wife is a huge horror movie fan. She generally doesn't watch me play any other games that aren't horror related. She really enjoys Resident Evil 4 the most out of all the ones she's watched me play.

She plays some of my older systems with me my NES and SNES especially Mario. She doesn't actually play any by her self, but we have played quite a few games of Mario Party together.

Co-op games are very high on my list right now, especially horror co-op with simple controls. (She couldn't play Doom 3 with me because the dual Analog learning curve)

Hey guys, I just bought NGamer, a UK Nintendo magazine; It has a preview for Resident Evil UC and it basically says that It will boast a 20 hour story (!!!), the best visuals on Wii so far (means by the time it gets out - better than Metroid Prime 3?) and the only complain is about the realism of the weapons. They feel like waterguns in comparison to RE4 where you actually got the feeling of the recoil. I hope it turns out good...

 Wow! That's more than I was expecting.

 The graphics in the trailer looked pretty nice. Hard to call them superior to MP3. Though I'm going to guess that Capcom might have better animations than Retro. Some of the rendered cutscenes looked a little clumsy in MP3.
